Triple S Clutch & Tyre Specialist –
Warranty Terms & Conditions
1. Warranty Period & Coverage
Triple S Clutch & Tyre Specialist provides a comprehensive Parts and Labour Warranty on all complete clutch kits and dual-mass flywheels supplied and installed by our workshop.
This warranty is valid from the date of the original invoice for:
• Private & Domestic Vehicles: 24 Months or 20,000 Miles (whichever occurs first).
• Commercial Vehicles / Vans: 12 Months or 12,000 Miles (whichever occurs first).
• Taxis, Driving Schools, & Fleet Hire: 6 Months or 6,000 Miles (whichever occurs first).
2. What is Covered
• Component Defects: Premature mechanical failure of the clutch plate, pressure plate, release bearing, or concentric slave cylinder (CSC) due to factory defects.
• Workmanship: Any faults arising directly from incorrect installation by Triple S technicians.
• Labour Costs: The full cost of labour to remove and replace the defective part, provided the repair is completed at the Triple S workshop.
3. What is Excluded (Not Covered)
This warranty protects strictly against manufacturing and fitting defects. It does not cover:
• Driver Misuse & Wear: Friction plates that are burnt, overheated, glazed, or stripped due to "riding" the clutch, heavy towing, vehicle overloading, or aggressive driving.
• Declined Flywheel Replacements: If Triple S recommended a new Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) or solid flywheel conversion at the time of fitting, but this was declined by the customer, any subsequent clutch failure caused by the old flywheel is entirely excluded.
• Fluid Contamination: Clutch failure caused by external oil leaks, engine coolant, or gearbox fluid entering the bellhousing (e.g., failed crankshaft rear main seal).
• Vehicle Modifications: Vehicles that have been engine tuned, remapped, or modified to produce torque levels higher than standard factory specifications.
• Customer-Supplied Parts: Triple S offers zero warranty on any parts brought in by the customer. If a customer-supplied part fails, the customer is liable for the full labour cost of the strip-down and re-fit.
• Consequential Losses: Triple S is not liable for recovery/towing fees, replacement vehicle hire, public transport costs, loss of earnings, or any other peripheral expenses.
4. Special Provisions for Tyre & Alignment Services
• Tyre Warranties: All new tyres fitted by Triple S carry the standard manufacturer's warranty against structural tread defects. This does not cover punctures, kerb damage, sidewall impacts, or uneven wear caused by tracking neglect.
• Wheel Realignment: Following a clutch replacement, subframe removal may alter wheel alignment. If a wheel alignment service was refused by the customer during the clutch fitment, Triple S is not responsible for any subsequent accelerated tyre wear.
• Wheel Nut Torque: Customers are advised that wheel nuts must be checked and re-torqued after driving 30 miles following any wheel removal.
5. How to File a Claim:
1. Contact Triple S: Stop driving the vehicle immediately if a fault is suspected and contact our service desk.
2. Invoice Required: You must produce your original Triple S receipt and a current odometer reading.
3. Workshop Inspection: The vehicle must be returned to Triple S for a diagnostic teardown.
4. Third-Party Intervention: If any third-party garage, mobile mechanic, or individual alters, adjusts, or dismantles the clutch or gearbox assembly prior to a Triple S inspection, this warranty becomes instantly void.
